Can we talk school and core curriculum.
Can we talk about nursing and CMS/federal guidelines, both are similar in many areas
Kids don't feels like kids, teachers don't feel like teachers. Nurses don't feel like nurses.
It's like we are all robots. Core curriculum has pushed RUBRICS that are legit the same accross the board, just like standardized testing. Our teachers have to teach by the curriculum and rubrics. I asked my school ages kids, "Don't you have those English, Music Art or Social studies teachers that annoyingly love their class?!" I'm talking the teachers that would go on tangents about The Revolutionary War or their favorite authors or abstract art projects. The teachers who taught outside the box and provided real world examples. All three of my children responded, "No"!? Nevermind they DO NOt use books anymore. Welcome to grammarly and AI, but those cannot take a standardized test for you!
That's is so unbelievably disheartening. I'll never forget those teachers, their passion and some made me carry their teachings in my daily life.
As a registered nurse, we are always understaffed. We are constantly seeing the changes set forth by either state or federal entities and its usually with little to no warning to learn, "The new way". We are forever charting, having to follow the standards ect. all which in turn puts our patients, human beings to recieve sub par care! This is not why we chose our career. We chose to support, guide care and give back.
We are taking the humanity out of almost everything and sadly most of it is surrounded by money. Follow these standards (school or work) or you'll lose funding ect.
It's time to change, but where do we start, can we even make a change. If you push back you're silently held back or pushed out!!
